The proposed new house replaces a dilapidated existing building on a riverside plot with panoramic views over a lock on the River Thames.
The new house will be raised on columns above the floodplain, externally adopting an archetypal plotland type house and surrounded by a raised terrace and garden.
Internally the volume of the house contains interconnected rooms of varying scale, organised around a central core of ancillary uses. The master bedroom and study occupy a mezzanine within the roof space.
A simple palette of high quality materials creates comfortable and flexible living spaces.
Construction commenced on site in Autumn of 2016.
